Social Media Editor/Publisher
Summary
We are looking for a skilled and creative Social Media Editor/Publisher to join our team and oversee our social media presence. In this role, you will be responsible for developing engaging content, managing social media accounts, and implementing strategies to increase brand awareness and engagement. You will work closely with our marketing team to plan and execute social media campaigns, analyze performance metrics, and optimize content for various social media platforms, ensuring accessibility and inclusivity in all our social media efforts. Successful candidates will have a strong understanding of social media trends and best practices, excellent writing and editing skills, and a passion for storytelling. Experience in social media management or digital marketing, including familiarity with accessibility tools and technologies, is preferred. Responsibilities
- Develop and execute social media strategies to increase brand awareness, engagement, and followers.
- Create compelling and on-brand content for social media platforms, including written posts, images, videos, and graphics.
- Manage and maintain our social media accounts, including scheduling posts, responding to comments and messages, and monitoring mentions and hashtags.
- Collaborate with our marketing team to plan and execute social media campaigns that align with overall marketing objectives and goals.
- Monitor social media trends, tools, and best practices, and implement new strategies to optimize performance and stay ahead of the competition.
- Analyze performance metrics and track key performance indicators (KPIs) to measure the success of social media campaigns and initiatives.
- Use social media management tools to schedule posts, track analytics, and manage content calendars.
- Ensure all social media content meets accessibility standards, using tools like alt text for images, captions for videos, and screen reader compatibility.
- Stay up-to-date on industry trends, emerging platforms, and new features to continuously improve our social media presence.
- Work cross-functionally with other departments, such as customer service and product development, to ensure a cohesive brand voice and messaging across all channels.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in marketing, communications, journalism, or a related field.
- Proven experience in social media management, digital marketing, or content creation.
